What are the ‘must do’ local attractions?

  1. Pavillion lake loop walk, opposite the house.

  2. Rednagh Forest (Coillte) walk: End of avenue, turn right. Keep left, cross bridge and approx 200m on the left you enter the woods. This walk takes you to Annacurra village and playground.

  3. Drive to Woodenbridge hugging the Aughrim river (12mins). Coffee at Woodenbridge Hotel (Eircode: Y14 XT95) then lunch at Avoca handweavers (Eircode: Y14 HN29).

  4. Cycle/Drive to Glenmalure Lodge (Eircode: A67 WF65) via Slievemane (22mins drive). The scenery is gorgeous. Loop home via Greenane Maze (Eircode: A67 D789).

Do you accept group bookings?

We facilitate families or up to three couples. We also accept corporate retreats, please enquire within.

Are you kiddie friendly?

We love kids! The house however is not bullet proof and the walls don’t take well to crayons and climbing!

Do you supply basic supplies, e.g. tea bags, toiletries, towels, etc?

Yes. We typically provide enough for a long weekend. Some extras are available in the utility and further top ups are available at our local convenience stores.

Do you provide fuel for the stoves?

Yes, the three wood burning stoves are equipped with kindling, a firelog, matches, basket of log and smokeless coal. Additional fuel can be purchased in the local shop. 

Do you provide some baby equipment?

Yes, upon request we can provide a baby chair, travel cot and cot mattress. Anything further do please let us know and we will do our best to assist!

Is the barn accessible?

No, the barn is closed for storage and the wooden floors are not safe to walk on. We hope to make necessary upgrades soon!

Can we self check-in?

Yes, we have provided a black key box to the rear of the house for your convenience.
